The department is responsible for administration of all forms of public assistance, including child support collection enforcement, child and adult protection, and other community social services for the disabled, elderly, mentally ill, and chemically dependent.
We provide legal services at no charge to eligible low-income residents of our area whose legal issues fit within our priorities. The civil legal services we provide are geared to protect the basic needs of our clients: food, shelter, medical insurance, income protection, and safety.
